Warehouse floor safety marking and repair work at Wigram light industrial unit Christchurch

Industrial Floor & Walkway Repairs — Wigram

Precise bolt-hole filling, walkway marking, non-slip coatings and end-of-lease make-good for Wigram's trade workshops and commercial units. No job too small.

Christchurch and immediate surrounds only.

If you've called a resin flooring company about filling six bolt holes and repainting a walkway, you've probably already been told the job is too small. If you've called a line marking company, they've likely said they don't do epoxy. Wigram's light industrial units generate exactly this type of work — small, precise floor jobs that both trades decline. That's where we operate.

We're resin-competent and line-marking-precise, and we take on the jobs that fall between the two trades: a single walkway to repaint, a hoist pit surround to mark up, a stair nosing to coat, a handful of anchor holes to fill before the landlord inspection.

What These Jobs Actually Look Like

Six bolt holes, one walkway

Outgoing tenant removed a vehicle hoist. Six anchor points to fill flush, plus an 8m pedestrian walkway between the workshop and the parts store to repaint in yellow. Single visit, a couple of hours. Larger or more complex jobs take longer — timing is confirmed at the free assessment.

Stair nosings and a ramp

Unit has a mezzanine with internal stair and a loading ramp. Non-slip polyurethane coating on the nosings and ramp surface — a landlord health and safety requirement before re-letting.

Shared-access zone marking

Two adjacent units share a doorway access corridor. Clear floor markings needed to separate pedestrian and forklift paths within a 2.5m wide shared zone — precise work in a tight space.

Full small-unit make-good

Tenant vacating a 300m² unit. Ten anchor points to fill, old walkway markings to grind out, floor photographed. Quoted same day as assessment, completed in a morning.

Wigram's Industrial Mix

Wigram's industrial precinct is more varied than most Christchurch zones — developed on the former RNZAF Wigram airfield, it now houses trade workshops, automotive businesses, commercial services and light manufacturing in a mix of unit types and sizes. The units tend to be smaller and closer together than Hornby or Rolleston iZone, which means floor work is smaller in scale but no less exacting in execution.

Tight walkway widths, shared-access zones between adjacent units, mezzanines with internal stairs — these are the specific conditions Wigram floor work involves. A walkway that meanders around a shared pillar or a non-slip coating on a three-step internal stair requires more care per square metre than a straight aisle run in a large distribution shed.

End-of-Lease Make-Good for Smaller Units

A smaller Wigram make-good — say, ten anchor points and a walkway repaint in a 200–300m² unit — can often be completed in a single visit. Larger units with more extensive bolt fields take longer; we confirm timing during the free assessment. Either way, it's exactly what a resin company considers beneath them and what a line marking company can't complete start-to-finish.

We quote on the same day we assess, and most small Wigram make-goods book within the same week. If you have a handover date in mind, tell us and we'll work backwards from it.

Common Questions

Do you take on small jobs — just a few bolt holes or a single walkway?

Yes. There is no minimum job size. A single walkway repaint or six bolt holes is a normal enquiry for us. We quote the same day we assess and most small Wigram jobs complete within a day or two of booking.

Do you do non-slip coatings on stairs and ramps?

Yes. We apply polyurethane with anti-slip aggregate to stair nosings, ramp surfaces and mezzanine landings. This is commonly required for re-letting compliance and health and safety inspections.

How quickly can you book?

Most Wigram assessments happen within 48 hours of your enquiry. Small jobs often complete within a day or two of the site visit.

Can you remove old markings and apply a new layout?

Yes. Grinding out or blacking over the old markings and re-marking a new layout is routine work for us, for any unit size.

Is this suitable for epoxy-coated or sealed workshop floors?

Yes. We fill into coated surfaces and grind flush. The filler is colour-matched as closely as possible to the surrounding floor.

These are example timeframes from real jobs — actual scheduling depends on hole depth, existing coatings, floor condition and site access, and we confirm exact timing after the free on-site assessment.
